Q. C.'ers kick up heels

Once a year members of Sohio's Quarter Century Club kick up their heels in a day that's heady with excitement. This year's reunion took place Sept. 12 at Toledo's Commodore Perry. A traditional exchange of memories and experiences, it began with a tour of Toledo Refinery and proceeded with a fashion show and a boat ride on the Maumee.

Meanwhile, back at the Commodore Perry, hotel cooks tackled their biggest job. Never before had so large a crowd come to dine; a total of 2,500 were served at luncheon and dinner.

The evening banquet began with greetings by President Charles E. Spahr and Clyde T. Foster, chairman of the board. Then with Elliott B. McConnell, senior vice president—and a captivating set of color slides—Q.C.'ers reminisced over many of the changes that have marked Sohio's progress during the past 25 years.

Rededicated to the fellowship and tradition that built Sohio and brought them together, they were already looking forward to next year's reunion in Cincinnati (their 19th) as the long, enjoyable day came to a close.
