Game Summary
Ulcers is the big business game that recognizes an important business face: PEOPLE are among a company's most valuable assets. And people are why executives get ulcers. Suppose you had to form a company- and had to hire a staff of executives, managers, salesmen, and secretaries. You probably think it would be easy. But it isn't. Ulcers puts YOU in the owner's chair. You form the company. You hire the staff. And you try to keep them. First of all, you have to hire the right people at the right time. Then you have to pay their salaries. But you have to be sure that you're paying them enough, or your opponents may raid your staff by offering them higher salaries. Then you have to negotiate strikes and pay taxes. Face resignations. Cope, with scandals. And so on. .Ever wonder why the mortality rate is so high in the executive suite? Ulcers is a satirical look at everyday business practices, and it's fun to play. After all, you don't often get the opportunity to manipulate people for fun and profit. Go ahead. Be your own boss. Get Ulcers.
