| Local Reviews:
The rules that were developed for the oldest game board in history closely resemble backgammon with some variations. Ur is a game of chain reactions and strategy combined with the luck of the dice roll. I've been playing it since I was six years old, and have never tired of it. The measure of any good game is in it's variability from game to game, and I must say that, hard as I try to remember, I can't recall two games that have been played exactly the same way! I've also introduced my beaten up board to many people over the years, and they have all been quite taken with it. Too bad it's out of print! Can somebody please fix that? | |
