CONCERNING THE FILM

This machine accepts Super 8 sound film only with SMPTE approved sound advance of 18 frames. Film should be protective coated, properly loaded in magazine by MPO or MPO licensee.

If your film becomes excessively dirty after extensive use. MPO can clean and recoat it for further useful service.

Eastman Color Estar or Acetate pre-sound striped stock gives most satisfactory service. B & W may also be used. Reversal prints should be avoided if possible as they have a tendency to warp.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Allow a minimum of 3 feet of leader before start of your picture and sound (due to exclusive long-life bulb, amplifier and film protective features built into the MPO Videotronic Compact).

PROJECTION LAMP

The Videotronic Super 8 uses a quartz DNF, ELZ or ELV 150 watt. 21 volt lamp. The bulb will burn considerably longer on the normal setting. To change a lamp, remove the magazine and unscrew chrome-plated knob (M) holding the lamphouse in place, remove lamphouse, withdraw old lamp and insert replacement lamp.
